Flowquip history

1982

Managing Director Roger Bancroft leaves family pipeline business to focus on providing process flow solutions to industry and founds Flowquip.

1984

Due to growth in the first two years, Flowquip move in to larger premises at Salterhebble, Halifax.

1985

Flowquip exhibit at their first exhibition Interflow UK.

1986

Due to further growth and need for servicing and assembly of systems Flowquip move to bigger premises at Bull Close Lane, Halifax.

1987

After a trade mission from Australia, Flowquip land the distributorship for Contrec process and petroleum instrumentaion in the UK.

1999

After the success of the Flowquip’s UK distributorship of Contrec products, Contrec Europe Ltd is established to provide the distribuion arm of Contrec products in to Europe and the Middle East.

2000

Due to an increase in hire enquiries for flowmeters, Flowhire Ltd is set up as a new limited company the only UK company dedicated specifically to the hire of flowmetering equipment. It quickly has the largest range of meters to hire in the UK.

2001

Due to further growth Flowquip move out of Halifax to Riverside works, Sowerby Bridge to allow for extra warehouse and stock space.

2009

Flowquip see the build of their first calibration facility, capable of calibration up to 4000 litres/minute on water.

2014

Flowquip launch their new image and website in conjunction with the Sensors and Instrumentation exhibition at Birmingham, NEC.
